    The Kickstart Your Career Program provides youth (between the ages of 15 and 30 inclusive) with full-time career-related work experience by providing incentive funding to employers and organizations who hire and help youth transition into the labor force and gain valuable employment skills. Participants will benefit from up to 26 weeks of on the job training within their field of study and career orientation. THIS PROGRAM RUNS FROM JANUARY 23, 2017 to DECEMBER 22, 2017 If you are between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive), not receiving EI and looking for full-time career related employment, you are eligible to apply to participate in the Kickstart Your Career Program.     COURSE AVAILABLE ANYTIME - NO START OR END DATE As of July 1, 2014 it is the law for all supervisors and workers in Ontario to be trained in the basic OHS awareness training. This particular training is for employers and those in supervisory roles. The training will explain the responsibilities of supervisors and describes what Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) expects from them, their employers and the workers they supervise. This training is FREE and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. You will receive a certificate upon completion.     COURSE AVAILABLE ANYTIME - NO START OR END DATE Online Safe Food Handler's Training/Certification Course. This online certification seminar is recognized throughout Ontario as meeting the food service training standards of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Learn essential food safety skills with focus on food-borne illness causes and prevention methods. Recommended for anyone that serves food to others. Headphones and computer access provided by St. Lawrence College Employment Service. Depending on the individual, the course takes approximately 6 hours to complete. The course is a combination of narrated videos, an online manual, quizzes, and a final multiple choice test.
