Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Audit Clerk. The primary responsibility of this role is to meticulously review financial and operational transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Verify the completeness and authenticity of transaction documentation.
- Perform audits of financial records to identify discrepancies, errors, or irregularities.
- Investigate any discrepancies or anomalies identified during the review process and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with branch managers, operations staff, and head office's finance, accounting, and compliance teams, to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of transaction reviews and audit findings.
- Provide timely and detailed reports to management summarizing audit results, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transaction review, auditing, or financial analysis, preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and documentation.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
