Callidus Engineering is a building services professional engineering firm providing mechanical and electrical design for commercial, residential and industrial customers throughout Canada.  Our wide variety of clients includes architects, building owners, property managers, government agencies and contractors.  Project size varies from $50,000 to $30,000,000 in construction value leading to a fast paced and dynamic office. Offices are located in London, Kingston and Kitchener Ontario.

Position Available: Co—op for 4 month or 8 month work term 

Position Location: London, Kitchener & Kingston offices (In office only - no remote/hybrid options available)

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Setting up drawings for the mechanical and electrical disciplines from architectural drawings
  • Drafting mechanical and electrical systems and details in CAD
  • Load calculations to size mechanical equipment or electrical services
  • Sizing ductwork, plumbing piping, exhaust fans, etc.
  • Designing lighting, power, and systems layouts, etc.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines
  • Digitizing documentation at the complete of the project

Required Experience:

  • Currently registered in a related program with a post-secondary institution

Nice To Have:

  • Construction related job experience
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code
  • Courses in heat transfer, fluids or power systems
