    Job Summary:

    Under the supervision of Golf & Curling Operations Coordinator, the Golf Course Assistant Mechanic performs maintenance of golf course equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.  She/he inspects and tests engines, motors and other mechanical components using test devices to diagnose and isolate faults.  She/he advises supervisor of requirements and/or replacement of components for golf course equipment.  She/he adjusts, repairs or replaces mechanical or electrical system parts and components of maintenance equipment.  She/he tests and adjusts repaired equipment and performs scheduled maintenance service on equipment.


    • College diploma or certificate or apprenticeship in Mechanics, or a related field, AND some years of experience in Mechanical work or in a related field


    • High school diploma AND several years of experience in mechanical work or a related field


    • An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered


    • WHMIS certification or equivalent
    • A valid driver’s license (Ontario)

    Experience Requirements:

    • In a mechanical trade at a golf course or similar environment
    • In welding
    • In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing

    Language requirement:  English Essential

    Salary: $12.19/hr - $17.47/hr
