  • Part Time Office Administrator

    This position is for the role of Part-Time Office Administrator for a Downtown Rental Business

    We are a small/medium size family run property management and rental operation with a fairly even mix of Queen’s students and working individuals.  As our business grows we are seeking someone experienced to help us with day to day operations in our office.

    This is a part-time, contract position and we’re looking for a person interested in working 15 hours a week,  Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5 hours per day. The position could become full time at a later date.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Input and/or retrieve data for designated records, files, etc., usually via computerized systems. Maintain complete and accurate information on a database(s), (Google Suite, QuickBooks, Excel, etc)

    • Perform simple calculations, and complete job-related forms (handwritten and electronic). Tabulate and compile data in a standard format for analysis by others, this may include setting up basic spreadsheets/charts.

    • Work with owners and bookkeeper as required in performing related activities eg. compiling standard reports, performing elements of complex assignments such as analysis and calculations etc.

    • Perform general office duties which may include filing office documents and maintaining filing systems, answering telephones, responding to inquiries, scanning documents, stuffing envelopes, faxing documents, scheduling/arranging meetings, ordering office supplies, etc.

    • Keeping Kijiji ads maintained, taking phone calls, and emails, qualifying prospective tenants,  setting up appointments.


    Strong computer skills, including the ability to operate job-related PC systems, data entry and retrieval, word processing, basic spreadsheet applications, etc.

    • A minimum of 3 years of previous work experience
    • Secondary school diploma
    • Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication skills
    • Display expert level working in a PC desktop environment
