    THE ROLE:

    The Insurance Representative/Investment Advisor analyzes clients' financial records, sets goals and develops a financial strategy.  They promote and provide financial services to current and former Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, and their families.  They provide information concerning insurance plans, benefits and other policy features.  They complete Insurance Needs Analysis, if required, to enrol members in a SISIP Financial product to commensurate with needs.  The Insurance Representative/Investment Advisor generates awareness of SISIP Financial, its mission, services, policies and procedures.

    THE LOCATION:

    SISIP: SISIP Financial operates 22 branches across Canada offering guidance and expertise by certified financial planners to assist CAF members and their families with their short and long-term financial goals. SISIP Financial provides a holistic approach to financial planning, investing, insurance and counselling services to the Canadian military community.

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

    College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field, AND several years of experience in financial services

    OR

    A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.  This includes but it not limited to demonstrated military education, training or experience

    AND

    License for the sale of life insurance (ON)

    License for the sale of mutual funds (ON)

    Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, an asset

    Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), an asset

    Experience in:

    • Personal money management, risk management, retirement planning and cash flow planning
    • Mutual funds and other investments
    • The securities regulations for the applicable province as they apply to the sale and redemption of mutual funds
    • Life and disability insurance
    • The Pension Act and Canada Pension Plan
    • The organization and procedures of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and of the CAF compensation packages, an asset

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    • The successful candidate may be authorized to perform their duties and responsibilities from a location other than the normal workplace for this position
