DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

The candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the Medical Officer of Health and Directors, ensuring smooth operations of the executive office and assisting in the implementation of the Health Unit’s mandate. This role involves managing complex schedules, coordinating communications, preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining governance protocols. The position requires professionalism, discretion, and strong organizational skills to handle sensitive information in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of two years post secondary education in administrative and secretarial duties.

• A minimum of five years secretarial or administrative assistant experience at a high level of responsibility.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) including typing skills.

• Strong organizational, time management, prioritizing, and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.

• Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile.
