Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to join our amazing team working in a Kingston Transitional Care Unit. We’re ready when you are! Under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse, you will provide care according to the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor, and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12-hour shift. This is a Casual position with flexible shifts.
Salary $38.00 - $40.00 /hour With $1000 SIGN ON BONUS!
Role
- Under the direction of facility nursing staff, you will perform floor care duties - helping to create an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12-hour shift. This is a Casual position with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities
All of the duties that are within the scope of practice of an RPN as per the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) including the following:
- Client Assessment
- Client Care Plan Development and Care Coordination in consultation with other members of the health team
- Treatments (e.g., wound care, infusion therapy, medication administration, specimen handling, suctioning, oxygen therapy, enteral feeds, ostomy care, tracheostomy care, etc.)
- Maintains privacy of patient and confidentiality while care is being performed
- Maintain safety, security, and dignity of patient.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
- Current Registered Practical Nurse licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis b
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
- Current BLS
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- Flexible to workday, evening, and night shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
