The Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, located on Hamilton’s beautiful mountain brow, is home to one of the largest and most comprehensive Regional Cancer Programs in Ontario. It offers a diverse set of patient care services including a comprehensive emergency department, medical and intensive care services, surgery oncology, hematology-oncology, stem cell transplants, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and diagnostics. Position Summary
C4 is an inpatient unit providing care for individuals with malignant hematological diseases. The primary modes of therapy are intensive chemotherapy, transfusion and antibiotic support for immunosuppression and stem cell transplantation.
As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the job description and Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses on Unit C4.

Qualifications
• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
• Advanced oncology-nursing credentials such as Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course (offered at the De Souza Institute), Certified Oncology Nurse (CON(C), McMaster University Oncology Nursing Certificate, Mohawk College Oncology Certificate or equivalent from and accredited educational institution preferred
• Current BCLS certification
• Recent (with the last 2 years) experience in the care of oncology patients preferred
• Recent (within 1 year) experience in antineoplastic drug administration preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of the current assessment and management of the acute care malignant hematology patient receiving chemotherapy, radiation, or palliative care preferred
• Demonstrated experience and skill in chemotherapy administration, IV starts and the care of central lines preferred
• Preferred experience in the care of patients undergoing blood cell transplantation
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated ability to support patients and families of patients who are terminally ill

Operating within the Quality & Performance Portfolio, the Nursing Resource Team (NRT) is a staffing team that plays a vital role in the provision of nursing services across patient care programs at HHS. The NRT is comprised of very skilled nurses, trained and capable of being deployed to provide high quality care to a wide range of patient populations across all seven (7) sites at HHS. Within the NRT, no two shifts ever look the same.
Position Summary

McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH), located on the McMaster University campus in Hamilton’s beautiful Westdale neighbourhood, has been providing care to children from across the region since 1988. Here, patients ranging in age from infancy to 17 benefit from a family-centered approach that prioritizes the child’s emotional, mental and physical well-being. Position Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at McMaster Children’s Hospital is comprised of a Level III NICU, a Level IIc nursery and a neonatal transport team, providing medical and surgical care to neonatal patients and their families. Our NICU serves a broad geographic area within southern Ontario. The interdisciplinary team provides family-centered care with a strong focus on evidence-based best practice and continuous quality improvement. McMaster NICU is also actively involved in a number of collaborative quality improvement initiatives provincially, nationally and internationally.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a fast paced, complex and highly acute environment. The Registered Nurse is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, working collaboratively in the Level III NICU and Level IIc nursery. Responsibilities include the provision of high quality neonatal nursing care to patients and families and demonstrating a commitment to excellence in supporting the patient and family experience.

Located in the Hamilton’s downtown core, the Hamilton General Hospital (HGH) is the regional center of excellence for several programs including Trauma, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Cardiovascular and Burns.
As one of 4 critical care units at the HGH, ICU East/South is a 31 bed Level 3 ICU providing highly skilled tertiary and quaternary care to a population of over 2.3 million residents within the Central South region of Ontario, and supports the regional trauma, neurosurgical and stroke programs in addition to offering specialized care for clinical programs including neurosciences, medicine, vascular, surgery and spine.
Position Summary
As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses in the ICU. Using a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach that is dedicated to the principles of patient-and family-centered care, our team of Registered Nurses treat highly complex patients using leading edge treatment modalities including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies (CRRT). Our ICU staff also supports the Critical Care Response Team for the HGH, bringing highly skilled, specialized, critical care nurses, as members of a multidisciplinary team, to offer support and consultation outside of the ICU. As a Royal College Accredited training program and through our affiliation with McMaster University, we offer opportunities for learning and conduct world renowned research.

Position Summary
Operating within the Seniors, Emergency, and Community Medicine Program, the CTU Medicine Unit (E3) is a clinical teaching unit (CTU) that cares for patients with serious medical conditions. The interdisciplinary care team supports a primarily geriatric patient population with multi-system chronic illnesses.
As a valued member of the CTU Medicine healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides leadership in the coordination of nursing care for patients with multisystem medical conditions including Diabetes, Dementia, Stroke and Acute Coronary syndromes. Vascular patients are admitted pre and post-operatively and cared for by an interdisciplinary team after undergoing vascular surgical procedures.

Position Summary
Located in the Hamilton’s downtown core, the Hamilton General Hospital (HGH) is home to the Hamilton Center for Vascular Health (HCVH). As a center of excellence in cardiovascular and stroke care, we service a population of 2.3 million residents within the central south region of Ontario and beyond. The HCVH provides leadership and innovation in delivering tertiary and quaternary care in the areas of cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, stroke and thrombosis through an interdisciplinary patient-centered model of care. The ICU West is a 16 bed, level 3 tertiary and quaternary unit performing the highest volume of cardiovascular surgical procedures in the province.
Using a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach, dedicated to the principles of patient-and family-centered care, the Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care and provides nursing care according to the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and Standards of Practice for Critical Care Nurses in Ontario.
