Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Logistics Coordinator to help optimize our supply chain and logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to coordinate the flow of goods both domestically and internationally from suppliers to customers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Customs clearance
- Documentation
- Coordinating and arranging transportation ensuring timely deliveries
- Maintaining effective relationships with vendors and stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills to ensure efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Logistics Operations: Day-to-day logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution of goods
Supply Chain: Participate in implement strategies to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the logistics and supply chain operations
Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions
Inventory: Monitor stock levels, manage order fulfillment, and ensure accuracy in inventory records when required
Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations, including documentations, regulatory requirements, customs requirements, GFSI Requirements, Transportation requirements, Customer requirements
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and update logistics data, create and provide delivery schedules to customers, provide support for claims and resolutions. Identify opportunities for improvements
Problem Resolution: Address any logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies, working with internal teams and external partners to resolve them swiftly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or post secondary certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Recent graduates welcome to apply, on the job training provided
- Strong understanding of excel, inventory management systems, and transportation methods would be an asset
- Ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and optimize operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems and think strategically
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in logistics and transportation would be an asset but not required
