We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team in Brockville. 

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and redirect calls as necessary.
  • Manage correspondence, including emails, faxes, and referrals to other healthcare providers.

Clinical Support:

  • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies.
  • Assist physicians or other healthcare providers with patient care during exams.
  • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and weight, as required.
  • Provide patients with instructions for medical procedures or tests.

Office Management:

  • Order and maintain office and medical supplies.
  • Handle billing and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Assist with the coordination of office workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma, Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent training preferred
  • Experience: Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with EMR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, 2-3 days a week. Specific days and hours to be determined.
