Position Summary:
The Executive Assistant/Deputy Clerk provides effective and confidential executive and administrative support and research assistance to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer and to other members of the management team as required. The role is also responsible for ensuring open and transparent government by providing assistance to the County Clerk, Warden and Council. The Executive Assistant will carry out the duties in alignment to the organizations mission, vision and values and work to further its priorities.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of a two year relevant post-secondary program (e.g. Office Administration)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior administrative or secretarial position
- Completion or enrolment in AMCTO Municipal Administration Program considered an asset
- A combination of recent and relevant education and experience may be considered
- Previous municipal experience preferred
- Experience in the development and maintenance of administrative systems and procedures
