Position Summary & Required Skills:
As a Boat Builder in our Out-Fit Operations, your responsibilities depending on your skill set and interests, could include the installation of electronic systems complete with wiring, propulsion systems, and other various components such as windows, floatation collars, seats, etc. that make up our custom high-performance aluminum boats.
- Experience with marine electrical and/or mechanical systems is a definite asset.
- Knowledge of ABYC electrical and systems standards is a definite asset.
- Must be able to read blueprints and construction drawings, accurately and efficiently following all applicable procedures and methods.
- Knowledge of 12 volt and 24 volt electrical systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines is a definite asset.
- Must have a strong work ethic including excellent attendance.
- Must work well with others and with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and have a continuous improvement mindset / approach.
- Knowledge of boat building is a definite advantage.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to perform tasks in/under/on-top-of boats.
