Lifeguard - Calypso Waterpark

Lifeguards are responsible for the safety and security of our guests who are using the aquatic attractions throughout the park. In addition, they provide on-site first aid and first response to injury and illness as it happens anywhere in the park.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guard pools and slides in a professional and diligent manner
• Enforce facility rules and policies
• Provide basic first aid and respond to emergency situations 
• Monitor supply inventories and alert the manager of any potential replenishment needs
• Provide exceptional guest service to park visitors
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and maintain care and control of rescue equipment and radios.
• Complete reports and daily operations form as required
• Attend scheduled morning training sessions

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Valid NLS certificate
• Must complete and pass in-house orientation training both online and in-person prior to the opening season
• Valid Standard First Aid Certificate
• Valid CPR Basic Rescuer Level C certificate
• Certifications in AED, supplemental O2 delivery, or airway management are an asset
• Must be 16 years of age

Note: Employees require their own transportation. There is no public transportation available to the park. Employer will consider hiring multiple candidates in a carpool to facilitate transportation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position requires outdoor work in the sun and around water.
