As a Pipeline Maintenance - Summer Student working for Canada’s largest natural gas storage, transmission and distribution company, we commit to providing you with an exciting, rewarding and engaging experience. This position is not for office homebodies, as it will be based in the field in or around job site environments, where physical and hands-on work is a way of life.

Placement Details:

  • This opportunity starts in May 2025, and is located in Belleville, ON

What you will do:

  • Assist Pipeline Maintenance (PLM) technicians in the civil work and construction activities (excavation work, fencing, installing a culvert, modifying/removing sheds, landscaping, etc.).
  • Assists Pipeline Maintenance (PLM) technicians with their day-to-day duties, such as Right-of-Way (ROW) maintenance (vegetation removal, tree cutting, installing signages, etc.).
  • Assist the PLM technicians in monitoring third-party pipeline crossings.
  • Support the E&M Supervisor and the PLM Supervisors in various data entry activities (Work Order creation & updates in Maximo, etc.).
  • Support the Right-Of-Way agents in various activities related to public awareness, encroachment verification, visits to stakeholders including municipalities, etc.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
  • Hold a valid Full G class (or equivalent) driver’s license, and a responsible record
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to perform manual labour, and physical work, mostly outside.
  • Experience and skills in construction work, civil work, welding and/or carpentry a plus.
  • Experience and ability to operate power tools and equipment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-starting problem solver.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially with handling sensitive documents and company information.
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based role with regular regional travel.
  • You will be required to wear safety gear including a hard hat, safety boots, eye protection and hearing protection.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
