DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program in Siemens TIA environment
  • Assist in programming Beckhoff TwinCAT
  • Assist with SCADA software implementation (Ignition, Siemens)
  • Assist in control panel assembly & wiring
  • Must be able to create and read electrical drawings as needed (AutoCAD)
  • Assist as needed on various project and production goals

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

  • Accountable for successful completion of received tasks (programming and troubleshooting)
  • Reports & shop documentation are completed in a timely manner
  • Comply with all company design practices and processes
  • Comply with all company policies

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Graduated in a Controls Technology program or equivalent with 3+ years’ experience
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs is an asset
  • Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT and Structured Programming is an asset
  • Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, and Allen-Bradley PLCs are assets
  • Experience with electrical wiring and industrial panel building considered an asset
  • Able to multitask and work efficiently in a demanding environment
  • Motivated self-starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Enjoys problem solving, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Employ a friendly personality, respectful of co-workers, and ability to work in a team
