We are seeking a skilled and motivated Information Technology (IT) Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fulfilling the responibilities listed in this advert, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals to maintain and enhance our systems.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Give access to computer networks
  • Report on the performance of computer systems and networks
  • Respond to users experiencing difficulties with computer
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
  • Provide customer service
  • Manage incidents
  • Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
