Terra Financial is a family-oriented Wealth Management Specialist. Additionally, we provide insurance to protect families and individuals. This position works closely with the President and Vice-President and plays a key role in ensuring seamless client interactions by providing outstanding customer service, addressing financial inquiries, and managing client onboarding and account administration.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of financial expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills to support both client satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining a well-organized, professional office environment while upholding the integrity of financial operations and enhancing the overall client experience.
- Work location will be primarily in our office in Cornwall
- Work schedule is 37.5 hours and will follow the advisors’ hours (rarely requires weekend work). Additional hours may be required for staff relief.

Compensation:
- $45,000 to $60,000 based on qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction:
- Greet and welcome clients both in person and over the phone, ensuring a professional and positive first impression.
- Act as a representative and liaison for the Financial Advisor
- Respond to client inquiries regarding accounts and financial products, providing clear, accurate, and timely information.
- Address and resolve client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular account reviews and provide clients with financial updates and tailored recommendations.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including gathering necessary documents, setting up accounts, and managing related paperwork.
Financial Management & Investing Expertise:
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and statements for clients to provide clear insights into their financial status.
- Must have strong mathematical aptitude.
- Keep a close eye on client accounts, ensuring all transactions and investments are accurately tracked and aligned with their financial goals
- Prepare and deliver clear, comprehensive financial reports and investment summaries, helping clients understand their portfolio performance.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize client portfolios and drive better financial outcomes
- Ensure all financial activities are compliant with regulations and company policies while keeping client data secure.
- Assist in managing client contributions, as well as coordinating buys and redemptions efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring full compliance with data accuracy standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal company policies to maintain operational integrity.
- A deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and engaging way
Office Operations:
- Liaise with administrative staff, delegating tasks effectively to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage the office calendar, including scheduling client appointments and coordinating meetings ensuring every client is seen in a timely and organized manner
- Very good working knowledge of Excel and Word and have experience with related industry systems.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment to create a positive experience for clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Financial & Investment Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management is an asset.
- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships and effectively manage client expectations.
- Customer Service Excellence: Proven ability to address client inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally, and with a friendly demeanor.
- Leadership and Management: Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing office staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient operations.
- Administrative Skills: Proficient in office software, scheduling, data management, and maintaining accurate records.
- Language and Writing Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Proven self starter who takes initiative and works with integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
- Certification or licensing in financial planning or investments (e.g., CFP) is a plus, though it can be obtained after employment.
- Previous experience in a financial services role, particularly with client-facing responsibilities, is an asset.
