Electronics Engineering Technicians - Valcom Consulting Group Inc

Valcom Consulting Group is seeking technical individuals with a basic understanding and knowledge of communication, radar, or information technology systems for a position that involves reviewing schematics, wiring diagrams, and translating that information into practical application for system installations across Canada.

The role will involve working with new, cutting-edge systems, while receiving on-the-job training for specific equipment. The requirement is envisioned to be 2 teams of 4 technicians based in the Trenton area and will be available to perform installations of various systems to multiple locations in Canada.

The Role:

• Performing the installations, verifying the systems are operational.
• Technicians are required to provide direct labor to support the installation of equipment, hardware, software and cabling.
• Proficient on how to use various hand tools, power tools and various test equipment.
• Conducting maintenance management by collaborating with technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability for various system
• Preparing planning and procurement support documentation using material management information systems.
• Modifying and updating existing technical documentation, lists, and drawings for in-service systems and preparing new technical documentation for equipment.
• Working overtime as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

Requirements

1. Technical individuals with a basic understanding and knowledge of communication, radar, or information technology systems
2. A solid background in electrical or electronics training with a basic knowledge of radar, radios, and IT systems would be an asset.
