Marketing Event Specialist - Extend-A-Family Kingston

We are presently inviting applications for the position of:

• Event Marketing Specialist
• Full-Time Position - 12 week contract
• $19-25/hour

EAFK is a cutting-edge organization exploring and integrating innovative ways to support people with a developmental disability.

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing a marketing program with the objective of:

• Raising EAFK profile in the community
• Sharing information about EAFK programs and resources
• Provide fun and inclusive programming in the community
• Enhance and develop community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with EAFK participants and programs
• Research and prepare a schedule of events to attend throughout the summer
• Prepare marketing material, presentations, booths, etc. necessary to attend events
• Work with participants who may accompany staff to these events

Assets:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Standard First Aid, CPR
• Sign language (ASL)
• Under the legislative requirements of the French Language Services Act, French language competency is an asset.

Position Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who are energetic, positive role models, safety-conscious, and who have a genuinely compassionate and caring nature.

• Police Record Check - CPIC including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Proof of all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a team.
• Strong program delivery skills.
• Enrolled or completed marketing related education
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal vehicle required for transportation in the community
