Food Services Help for a Summer Student Position, from July 2 to August 29, 35 hrs/wk

Major functions:

  • Support kitchen staff with food preparation
  • Prepare for weekly outdoor barbeques including set up, restocking items, and helping with cash.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen/café areas.
  • Assist kitchen staff sanitizing equipment, washing dishes, and cleaning tables
  • Help unload and restock food deliveries
  • Support other departments as required for Special Events and catering requests.

Requirements:

  • Able to multi-task efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to use common kitchen equipment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number
