Graphic Designer - Summer Student Job - Seniors Association

Seniors Association Kingston Region is a dynamic community organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults in the Kingston area through a diverse range of programs, including recreational activities, educational workshops, and support services. We foster a warm, inclusive environment where members, volunteers, and staff can thrive, make new connections, and continue personal growth. We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community.

Major functions:

• Design event logos
• Create print ads and other promotional material including posters, brochures, etc
• Produce social media material
• Develop videos for social media and television
• Assist with layout of our 48-page monthly membership newsletter, Vista

Requirements:

• Enrollment in Graphic Design or Advertising and Marketing diploma program or equivalent
• Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Familiarity with social media and website maintenance
• Superior English, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work to deadline in a fast-paced work environment

Canada Summer Jobs Requirements:

• Must be between 15 and 30 years of age
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number
