We are seeking dynamic, passionate Clinical Support Staff, who want to be part of the transformational change in addictions care by providing a truly client-centered approach. As Clinical Support Staff you will assist the clinical team with administrative duties, providing social, emotional and spiritual support to our clients, assistance with meal service delivery, and admissions. You will be part of a diverse, collaborative care team that will provide services to clients in and around the community with a focus on a holistic plan of care and client-centered goals.

Division: 1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre

Location: 853 Thousand Islands Pkwy, Mallorytown, ON K0E 1R0

Qualifications accepted to work as a Support Staff:

  • Student currently enrolled in programs aligned with addictions and mental health or psychology degree programs (requires proof of transcript)
  • Life experience with addictions and mental health and at least 2 years of consistent sobriety

Requirements:

  • Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
  • A valid driver’s license & Current Driver's Abstract
  • Safe food handling certificate
  • Current criminal record check is required upon hire
  • Availability to work evenings including weekends
  • Capable of assisting with admissions, bag searches, accepting parcels and administrative duties
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to carry and answer phones in a professional manner
  • Capable of assisting with meal service and ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work well within a changing environment.
  • A demonstrated appreciation for quality improvement processes.
  • Basic computer skills would be an asset.

This can be a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
