About the Position

The Millwright, under the direction of the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, will primarily be responsible for preventative maintenance, repair and facility improvement. This position will respond to maintenance service requests. This role will also support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all mechanical systems and production machinery, including motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including identifying wear or misalignment, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols (Lock-out/Tag-out, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, etc.).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical schematics, and documentation to assemble, install, dismantle, or relocate equipment and machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineering on process/tooling development, pre-production tryouts, and fabrication of replacement/prototype parts to support production.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades to support reliability-centered and condition-based maintenance strategies, and provide off-shift support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Millwright certification (or equivalent experience), with hands-on industrial maintenance background including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for precision work; able to work independently and respond quickly in urgent repair scenarios.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics; experienced with preventative maintenance tracking and documentation.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills; capable of working well in team settings.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance record-keeping systems; welding, soldering, and fabrication experience considered an asset.
