Consolidated Office Installation Services offers interested candidates with office furniture installation experience and an aptitude for hands-on, practical work the opportunity to apply their skills, enthusiasm, and experience to the field of office furniture installation and assembly.

The Installer position involves delivering, placing, and installing all types of office furniture and case goods into offices, institutions, and businesses.

Experience working with any of these furniture lines is an asset: Haworth, Steelcase, Teknion, Herman Miller, Global, Allsteel and Knoll panel systems (not an exhaustive list). Familiarity with floor plans and the ability to understand and apply installation instructions and the order of assembly will support success in this role.

Worksites are typically in corporate and institutional settings, large and small, and successful candidates should endeavor to maintain a high level of professionalism and considerate communications.

Rate of pay for experienced installers begins at $22/hour; wage will depend on level of experience and whether a valid driver's license is possessed. Bilingualism is an asset. Must have own tools and must be bondable.

Physical fitness necessary (lifting up to 50 lbs), steady work, regular hours, evenings and weekends where required.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Familiarity/experience with the assembly and installation of office systems furniture
  • Familiarity with blueprints, product drawings and specifications
  • Ability to load and unload trucks with supplies, product and equipment
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Safe and effective use of power and hand tools
  • Perform service and repair assessments and installations
  • Observing and meeting all safety precautions and quality standards
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Meet performance expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidates should be receptive to continuous learning.
  • Tools and safety equipment (hard hat, safety boots) required.
  • Satisfactory police background check required upon offer.
