Join a biomechanics software company dedicated to helping our customers understand human motion across fields such as health care, sports, and ergonomics.

Biomechanical Engineering Co-op Students work across the range of HAS-Motion’s activities, developing in-depth training products and providing support for users across the world. You will specify new software features for biomechanical analysis techniques, write production C++ code to implement these features, and develop products such as tutorials and presentations that showcase our products’ capabilities. Along the way you will receive mentorship related to working with motion capture data, project management, and technical communication.

ROLE:

  • Organize and manage research data sets;
  • Analyze biomechanics researchers’ requirements for software tools;
  • Write C++ code as part of a software development team to implement new biomechanical analysis features and fix reported bugs;
  • Verify the correctness of our applications via regression testing;
  • Develop teaching materials that demonstrate our products’ capabilities; 
  • Have the autonomy to bring forth new ideas for our products and the company.

IDEAL CANDIDATE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary education program in Ontario;
  • Experience working with motion capture data is ideal;
  • Self-motivated and curious;
  • Able to work in team environments; and
  • Willing to learn.
