Lifeguard - Dev Centre Inc

DEV Hotel & Conference Centre is looking for part-time and casual Life Guards who have leadership qualities and the confidence and ability to ensure a safe pool area for everyone using the pool and to respond to emergency procedures as needed. The position is located at 1950 Montreal Road, Cornwall, Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide the highest quality of welcoming customer service to people using the pool at all times
• Monitor pool and area to identify potential hazards or unsafe behavior
• Enforce and monitor all facility water safety policies at all times to maintain safety
• Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool and area
• Document incidents/accidents and maintain accurate records
• Follow the daily, monthly and additional cleaning schedules as requested (keep the pool free of debris, wash the water line and vacuum the pool during downtime).
• Ensure clean towels are available and dirty towels are properly disposed of

QUALIFICATIONS

• National Lifeguard Certification (includes First aid and CPR-C/AED)
• 1- year of work experience as a lifeguard
• Able to complete the physical components of the position
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
• High alertness and quick decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
