OpTest Equipment Inc. designs, manufactures and markets advanced image analysis equipment for pulp, paper, printing and allied industries. OpTest is located in Hawkesbury, one hour from Ottawa or Montreal.
Electro-mechanical Technician/Manufacturing
The Electro-mechanical Technician will do mechanical assembly, electronic wiring, inspection, calibration and troubleshoot electronic image analysis instruments. The candidate will follow a 1year training programme of product assembly, operation and diagnostics. This will include assembly of PC boards, soldering, wiring, optical-video assembly, pneumatic and hydraulic sub-systems installation.
The candidate must be a graduate of a recognized technical college with a diploma in Electro-Mechanical Technology, or similar. About two years related work experience is preferred, but not required. He/she must be able to understand electronic, mechanical and pneumatic drawings. Knowledge of computer architecture and software including Windows OS’s, AutoCAD and Eagle would be assets.
