Kennedy Catering Corporation (KCC) is hiring a Floater Supervisor (Relief Captain) for our 2026 Muskoka camp season.
This is our most important support role. You move between camps to cover call-outs, support setup weeks, lead service on short notice, and keep standards high. You must be manager-level, calm under pressure, and able to bake enough to keep things running if a baker is out.
If you’re the type who can walk into a messy kitchen and make it better in one shift, we want you.
Pay: $190–$200/day ($1,140–$1,200/week), paid bi-weekly
Completion bonus: 1 extra week of pay after season contract completion
Contract dates: We hire for multiple Muskoka camps. Roles run between April 1 and Oct 31, 2026, depending on the site. Some roles start in April, most start in May–June, and most end mid-Sept. Please apply with your exact available start and end dates.
Referral bonus: $150 after your referral completes 6 full weeks
Schedule: 6 on / 1 off (main season), pre/post varies
Minimum age: 16+
Live on site: Yes
Placement: You move between camps as needed
What you get
- Room and board included (no deductions)
- Free meals every day
- Pick-up support from the closest Ontario Northland bus stop
- Lakefront access and camp activities (varies by camp)
- Completion bonus for contract completion
- Referral bonus
What you’ll do
- Move between camps to cover call-outs and gaps
- Step in as acting Sous or acting Chef short-term when required
- Lead service on short notice and keep quality steady
- Coach staff in real time: fix weak stations, tighten pace, raise standards
- Support ordering and inventory if a site is behind
- Support baking if a baker is out (practical baking, not fancy)
- Set up systems fast: labels, prep flow, cleaning routines, allergy controls
- Cover Chef day-off leadership if needed
- Write quick site notes so the next lead knows what happened and what’s next
- Protect food safety, allergy protocol, and cleanliness every single day
You’ll be successful if you…
- Can walk into a messy kitchen and make it better fast
- Stay calm and lead with respect under pressure
- Can bake enough to keep things running if needed

- You’ll have clear direction on when and where you’re needed
Requirements

- Baking experience required (practical, reliable)
- Vulnerable Sector Check required (or in progress)
- A driver’s licence is a strong asset
- Live on site and flexible to move camps
- Respectful workplace and inclusivity
