Seniors Association Kingston Region is a dynamic community organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults in the Kingston area through a diverse range of programs, including recreational activities, educational workshops, and support services. We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community.
Major functions:
• Train of all Food Services volunteers under the direction of the Food Services Manager.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen/café areas.
• Prepare baked goods for the Cafe
• Receiving, storing, rotating food deliveries
• Ensure consistent food preparation and maintain the highest calibre of food presentation.
• Support Departments as required for Special Events and catering requests.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ combined experience in the trade of cook
• Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safe Food Certification.
• Culinary Education Trade Papers, Red Seal or Equivalent an asset.
• G Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Available for flexible work schedule
