Position Summary
This position is responsible to assist the Parking Operations division with the maintenance of City parking inventory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial functions, in Parking facilities including on-street, surface parking lots, and parking garages
- Perform property maintenance functions including lawn and shrub care and basic carpentry
- Complete sign installation and removal (for both temporary and permanent installations)
- Operate a ½ ton truck with sander and blade for ice and snow control
- Perform manual shovelling and salting as required at various parking operations facilities and locations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Competencies
- Possess and maintain a valid 'G' driver's license with a satisfactory driver’s abstract
- General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation and property maintenance
- Preference will be given to those candidates with prior experience supporting property maintenance

Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
- Must be willing to work any and/or all shifts, as may be required
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, and weekends
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check
