Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dining Room Door Monitor to help ensure the safety of guests, staff, volunteers, and donors in our establishment.
The Door Monitor is a Greeter who will be stationed at the Front Door, utilizing our Double Door Entry system. As guests enter one by one, the Dining Room Door Monitor will quickly and effectively determine that the conduct of each guest entering supports the continued safe and welcoming environment so that all may enjoy our services. The candidate for this position will need to have a calm demeanor while interacting with everyone. And in the process will treat everyone with dignity and respect. The candidate will need to possess strong communication skills, attention to detail. The candidate should have experience in, or be willing to learn de-escalation techniques, understand and have empathy for the vulnerable population that we serve, and have a very positive, team oriented attitude. An acceptable Vulnerable Sector CPIC will be required for hiring for the successful candidate.
Duties
- The Monitor position will focus on, but not be limited to, screening our guests before they enter
- The position will include setting up for meal time, preparing/plating meals if needed, and helping with other duties between mealtimes
- The Door Monitor will be responsible for helping to clean up, and participate in closing duties.
- Other duties will be determined based on the volume of business at mealtime or donations that we receive that need tending to in a timely manner.
- Valid Driver's License Required
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 9AM to 5:30PM
