Position Details  

  • This position will run for one year from the date of hire – with the possibility of extension.
  • This position will operate out of Maltby centre’s rural locations in Napanee and Sydenham. The ability to travel between rural locations and to the Kingston office is required.
  • As a Program Assistant (PA) you will perform a variety of administrative activities for the service area to which you are assigned. 
  • These activities support the effective and efficient functioning of the service and assist in the identification and implementation of administrative improvements, liaising with the Decision Support Team as required. 
  • Your role will also include functioning as the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, by telephone and in person. 
  • In addition, you will provide front-desk reception, client information management, and administrative support. Interacting with visitors and clients with sensitivity and professionalism is integral to this position. 
  • In support of meeting the needs of clients, this position participates in reception coverage for walk-in services, which includes some evening work. You may also be required to cover duties at other campuses, either remotely or in person, as needed.

Qualifications  

  • Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or a related program
  • Two (2) years of related work experience, including customer service
  • Experience working in a community-based service provider setting and working with client information software systems, are assets.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is an asset.
  • French Language proficiency, written and verbal is an asset
  • Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), SafeTalk and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS), are all assets.
