Northridge Inn & Resort is seeking three (3) skilled and motivated Line Cooks to join our culinary team for the 2026 wedding and summer season.
This is a seasonal, fixed-term position supporting banquet, wedding, and resort dining operations. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality menu items in accordance with established recipes, food safety standards, and service timelines.
This role offers the opportunity to work under a Red Seal–endorsed Head Chef registered with Skilled Trades Ontario. Support may be available for individuals pursuing Red Seal certification.
This position is seasonal in nature. Employment will conclude at the end of the fixed term unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Employment is governed by the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).

Term of Employment
- Seasonal Fixed-Term Contract
- Anticipated Start Date: May 2026

- Full-time or part-time seasonal hours (based on operational needs)
Compensation
- $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Vacation pay in accordance with the ESA
- Overtime pay in accordance with the ESA (where applicable)
- Public holiday pay in accordance with the ESA (where eligibility criteria are met)
- Northridge Inn & Resort does not provide tip or gratuity distribution for this position.
Accommodation (If Applicable)
Shared accommodation may be available in Sundridge, Ontario, subject to a separate written housing agreement.
Any housing arrangements:
- Are voluntary
- Will comply with ESA regulations regarding permissible deductions (if applicable)
- Will be clearly outlined in a separate agreement prior to occupancy
- Details regarding accommodation costs (if any) will be provided during the hiring process.
Hours of Work
- Hours will vary based on wedding bookings, resort occupancy, and business levels.
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Overtime is paid in accordance with the ESA for hours worked beyond the applicable weekly threshold.
- Due to the event-based nature of the business, flexibility in scheduling is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure food is prepared, plated, and presented to company standards
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with Public Health regulations
- Assist with prep work and station organization
- Collaborate with culinary team members to ensure efficient service during high-volume events
- Accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests where operationally feasible
- Monitor food inventory levels at assigned station
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Follow all WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned to support kitchen and event operations
Qualifications
- Culinary diploma OR minimum two (2) years’ experience in a comparable hotel, resort, or restaurant environment
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (required prior to start date)
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
