Window Treatments Specialist - Interior Design - Kingston Paint & Decorating Inc

For over 30 years, Kingston Paint has been part of the Kingston community. A local, independent business, Kingston Paint sells quality paints and stains from Benjamin Moore, Cloverdale, Sico Proluxe (formerly Sikkens), WoodPlus and others. We also sell window treatments from Hunter Douglas, Graber, Sol-R and Maxxmar and recently got back into the wallpaper business with both instock and special order options.

Kingston Paint is looking for a dynamic individual for our window treatments department. If you have a love of interior design and decorating and have knowledge of window treatments, blinds, drapery and shutters, we have an opportunity for you! 

Requirements:

• You must be detail oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills.  
• You must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to attend in-home consultations. 
• Wage is hourly (rate dependent on experience) plus commission on sales.  
• Currently (but could increase) three weekdays (9-5) plus every other Saturday (9-4).
• Familiarity with Hunter Douglas, Graber, Sol-R would be an asset.  

Responsibilities: 

You will be responsible for all aspects of the sale; Initial consultation, in-home consultation and measurements, product knowledge and selection, quotations, order entry on manufacturers portals, communication with our seamstress and installer and follow up with clients.

Skills & Technology Used:

• Excellent communication skills on phone, in person and via email.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft excel, outlook.
• General computer skills that will translate for use of online ordering portals and POS system
