The Naval Marine Archive - The Canadian Collection is a totally unique library, archive and cultural collection of over 350,000 publicly catalogued items. Our holdings constitute the largest grouping of naval and marine titles in a single building anywhere in Canada, augmented with a growing number of aviation titles. Our mandate is oriented towards the conservation and dissemination of maritime and related history.

We are seeking a Computer Programmer to join our team for the summer. Note that training will be provided for the specific skills required.
The student will:
- Work on backend database programming and promulgation in an extensive Linux IT environment.
- Adapt and disseminate information from the collection of Naval Marine Archive to enhance the knowledge base and promote understanding of our Canadian history.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Perl and SQL is required
- Python and CGI would be appreciated
