The Naval Marine Archive - The Canadian Collection is a totally unique library, archive and cultural collection of over 350,000 publicly catalogued items. Our holdings constitute the largest grouping of naval and marine titles in a single building anywhere in Canada, augmented with a growing number of aviation titles.
We are seeking an Assistant Curator to join our team. This is an eight weeks of summer time position and you can learn more about The Naval Marine Archive by visiting our website.
Eligibility: To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a full-time student during the current academic year
- Be returning as a full-time student in the next academic year
- Be a Canadian citizen, as required under the conditions of the Government of Canada Summer Student Grant
What you will do in this role:
Learning teamwork in a cultural resource centre, library and art gallery.
- Assisting management in promoting visual and written literacy
- Assisting with exhibitions, the website and other audio and video material and social media updates
- Assisting with outreach and programs.
