Junior Building Automation/Controls Technician - EMCS a Division of Hamilton Smith Limited

Hamilton Smith Ltd. and Energy Management Controls Services (EMCS) is currently seeking a Junior Building Automation System (BAS) / Controls technician for work across Eastern Ontario. The position is based out of Belleville, Ontario.

Duties:

• Work with Senior Technician to create and update project record documents
• Installation of BAS systems in new construction and retrofits
• Set-up and modification of databases and programming
• Troubleshooting and repair of existing systems
• Preventative maintenance inspections and service
• Customer support and follow-ups on service calls
• Keep project documents up to date
• Travel throughout Eastern Ontario

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess an Electrical, Electronic or Instrumentation Technician/Technology diploma

• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficient using Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Visio
• Proficient using hand tools and safety equipment/PPE
• Must hold a valid divers license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Well organized and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with BAS systems, design and programming an asset
• Experience with Reliable Controls systems and software an asset
• Compensation includes competitive hourly rate, pension and benefits package
