We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our professional veterinary team for an open current position within our privately owned and locally operated veterinary hospital in Brockville, Ontario. As the longest established and one of the only independent practices in the area, we are committed to providing high standards of medical care, fostering strong client relationships, and maintaining a collaborative clinical environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, technical competence, and a strong commitment to patient care. This role requires the ability to work effectively within a team, support veterinarians in clinical procedures, and contribute to efficient daily operations while upholding regulatory and ethical standards of the profession.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to hospitalized and surgical patients
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Accurately prepare, and administer medications and vaccines
- Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, feces, cytology)
- Take and process diagnostic imaging (radiographs)
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
- Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
- Follow all clinic protocols, health & safety standards, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, calm, and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
- Experience in general practice / surgery / dentistry / anesthesia is an asset
- Completion of the OAVT Professionalism & Ethics Workshop and planning to write the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) is an asset
What We Offer:
- Wage rate commensurate with skillset & experience: $23.00/hr – $35.00/hr
