​​The Mold Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that molds remain production-ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high-quality fiberglass shells. Mold Technicians maintain the molds in production ready status. They repair molds and alter molds to fit production needs in some facilities. Mold Technicians also participate in building new molds from scratch, supporting product development, and fleet expansion. Ready, structurally sound, and capable of producing high-quality fiberglass shells.

​​Responsibilities:

  • Perform cosmetic and structural repairs on fiberglass molds, progressing from small surface repairs to large refurbishments.
  • Perform routine mold upkeep.
  • Cleaning, waxing, buffing, and prepping fiberglass molds to maintain smooth, defect-free surfaces and ensure proper release during production.
  • Maintain mold floor textures and gelcoat surfaces to preserve finish quality and prevent imperfections in produced pool shells.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify cracks, delamination, wear, warping, or structural degradation.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience working with power tools and pneumatic tools preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Autobody or fiberglass experience is preferred.
