We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through thorough inspection and packing processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality management. Also some assistance in shipping and receiving as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality inspections on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with production team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the shipping and receiving department as needed.

  • Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.

  • Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  • Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item, and pack the items in cartons or containers.

Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and practices is beneficial.
  • Will train the right candidate.

  • Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel, Spreadsheet software
  • Word processing software: Microsoft Word, Word processing software
  • Data base user interface and query software: Data entry software
  • Electronic mail software: Email software
  • Enterprise resource planning ERP software: SAP
