17528990 CANADA ASSOCIATION is a nonprofit organization focused on helping charities and community organizations through software development and technology projects while providing students and recent graduates with real-world industry experience.

We are seeking 4 Junior Software Developers. Students will work in a collaborative software development environment building and supporting real-world applications for nonprofits and community organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test software applications as part of a development team
  • Participate in Agile-style team meetings and project planning, both in-person and remote
  • Work with databases, APIs, and web technologies
  • Use GitHub for source control and collaboration
  • Assist with debugging, testing, and documentation
  • Contribute ideas and solutions during development

Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates will have experience from coursework or personal projects involving:

  • C# , Java, C++, JavaScript
  • SQL and database design
  • Object-oriented programming
  • Web development
  • Git/GitHub
  • Mainframe, COBOL, JCL
  • Problem-solving and teamwork

Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:

  • Angular or React
  • ASP.NET
  • Spring Boot
  • REST APIs
  • Mobile development
  • Cloud platforms
  • UI/UX design
  • JIRA

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility requirements:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
