Reporting to the Manager, MD Program, the Curricular Coordinator, Clinical Skills ensures the effective organization and facilitation of clinical skills training by coordinating instructors, standardized patients, and learning resources to provide medical students with practical, hands-on experience essential for their clinical competence.

This position distributes assigned components of curriculum to a team for design, scheduling, and delivery. This position coordinates completion of the assessment process from circulation to reporting. This position gathers information on course requirements to support curriculum development. This position participates in the review, amendment, and implementation of applicable program specifications, policies, and procedures. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.

What you will do:

  • Distributes assigned components of curriculum to a team for design, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Coordinates completion of the assessment process from circulation to reporting.
  • Gathers information on course requirements to support curriculum development.
  • Develops new procedures to support compliance with policy.
  • Provides advice and guidance on curriculum standards and procedures.
  • Acts as a point of contact and liaison with other departments and external organizations.
  • Participates in the review, amendment, and implementation of applicable program specifications, policies, and procedures.
  • Directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.

Required Education:

  • Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent.

Required Experience

  • More than 5 years of experience.
  • Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Assess the suitability of job candidates and recommend the most appropriate person for hire.
  • Monitor and assess output and the quality of work from team members and recommend need for formal training or development plans to management and identify possible performance and/or disciplinary issues.
