Foodsmiths is a leading Natural Health Food Store located in the historic Perth ON. With 50 years of innovation in the Natural Health Food Industry, we are dedicated to serving our community and promoting health and wellness through quality products and personalized service.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeping/Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations at Foodsmiths in Perth ON. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting our mission to foster community health.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee budgeting processes and monitor financial performance.
  • Reconcile accounts and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems using software such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage all Government and Tax remittance for the business.
  • Full-Cyle Bookkeepin required.
  • Work Location: In person/on-site - not remote

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

  • Experience: Accounting/Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
  • Language: English (preferred)

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Bookkeeper or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks Online.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple financial processes effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or related field.
  • Salary based on education and experience.
