The International Student Experience Lead strengthens the international student experience by coordinating lifecycle programming, evaluation, and team efforts to deliver more strategic, data-informed supports. The role ensures services are aligned, efficient, and impactful, improving student success, belonging, and retention while maximizing institutional resources.
This position designs, develops, oversees, delivers, and evaluates academic resources including programs, workshops, training, and services for students and stakeholders. This position oversees projects related to the development of experiential learning programs and professional development. This position evaluates and researches comparators and best practices in student development and experiential learning. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.

What you will do:
- Designs, develops, oversees, delivers, and evaluates programs, workshops, training, and services for students and stakeholders.
- Oversees projects related to the development of experiential learning programs and professional development.
- Evaluates and researches comparators and best practices in student development and experiential learning.
- Builds partnerships and collaborates with departments and/or community organizations to promote and implement programs and/or initiatives that enhance student belonging and success.
- Develops resources and tools that foster student academic skill development, cultural adjustment, and/or community connection.
- Develops and maintains program content and communication materials for websites and/or digital platforms.
- Directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.
- Plays a key role in supporting QUIC's International Student Advising and services by collating, dating, and supporting the unit in making data-informed decisions as they relate to programs and services.
- Chairs and/or participates on committees and working groups related to international student engagement and support.
- Supervises volunteers.
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education:
- Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.
- in education preferred.
Required Experience:
- More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
- Experience in data, trend analysis and reporting considered an asset.
- Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset.
- Experience developing, coordinating, and implementing student development and/or student experience programs considered an asset.
- Experience developing, coordinating and producing promotional and marketing material considered an asset.
- Experience in writing, interviewing, reviewing, editing and/or proofreading internal and/or external communications and documents considered an asset (e.g., social media, policy manuals, newsletters, handbooks, legal documents, forms/templates, blogs, training/reference materials, technical documents, webinars, etc.).
- Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset.
- Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment is considered an asset.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
- Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Take action to remove obstacles and address problems before the impact performance and results.

- Assess the suitability of job candidates and recommend the most appropriate person for hire.
- Monitor and assess output and the quality of work from team members and recommend need for formal training or development plans to management and identify possible performance and/or disciplinary issues.
