Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative - Merivale Cat Hospital

We're looking for a motivated, upbeat individual to join our team full-time as a Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative.

As an important member of our team, you'll help create a positive experience for both our clients and their feline companions. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional client service in person, over the phone, and by email
• Scheduling appointments to ensure excellent patient care and efficient workflow
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile hospital environment
• Unpacking and organizing inventory, including lifting large bags and cases of pet food
• Supporting the veterinary team with day-to-day clinic operations

We're Looking for Someone Who:

• Has a Veterinary Assistant diploma or previous experience in customer service, reception, or a veterinary clinic
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
• Can multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Is mature, reliable, and proactive in anticipating the needs of clients and the clinic
• Has outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Is enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional care
• Has flexible availability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Priority will be given to applicants who have:
• Graduated from a Veterinary Assistant program, and/or
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic as a Veterinary Assistant or Client Service Representative (CSR)

Schedule

• This is a full-time, permanent position working 36–40 hours per week.

Our hospital is open six days a week, and applicants must be available to work:

• Day and evening shifts
• Saturdays
• Additional shifts during holidays and summer vacation periods, as needed
• Applicants may also be required to work at both clinic locations when necessary
