Graphic Designer - Pre-Press / Large Format Production - Allegra Kingston

Allegra – Marketing, Print, Mail is a full-service graphic design, commercial print and business solutions company located at 1149 Clyde Court in Kingston’s west end.

We have a full-time opportunity for a creative individual with strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills. You should have expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities will be the design and set-up of customer projects ranging from simple one colour to full colour artwork in both digital and press environments. 
• In addition to being responsible for creative design, your daily activities will include pre-press functions such as file preparation and revisions, outputting to various devices, scanning, file management and organization and troubleshooting files. 
• Communicating and collaborating with clients may also be part of your duties.

Qualifications:

• Experience with large format roll fed large format printing devices will be an asset as this role will have multiple responsibilities beyond graphic design.
• You must be willing to put forth the effort to learn and grow in this ever-evolving profession.
• We provide support and training opportunities, but you will be expected to solve problems as they arise. 
• The successful applicant will be a team player, highly organized, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be able to meet tight timelines in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
• Preference will be given to a candidate with a Graphic Design diploma, 2-3 years’ work experience and ideally with large format print production experience. 

This is a full-time position. Hourly rate will be based on experience.
