Cheryl D. Lindsay Speech & Language Services is seeking a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our growing, supportive private practice and serve clients in Owen Sound, Durham and Dundalk (Grey County).

With more than 25 years of clinical excellence, our practice is committed to evidence-based care, mentorship, innovation and meaningful relationships with the families we serve. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced CDA, you will be supported in developing your clinical skills while working alongside experienced SLPs.

  • **Part-Time/Full-Time Independent Contractor**
  • **Service Area: Owen Sound, Durham and Dundalk (Grey County), Ontario**

Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of a registered SLP, you will:

  • Implement individualized speech and language intervention programs
  • Provide services to children with a variety of communication needs
  • Collect treatment data and document client progress
  • Prepare therapy materials and home-practice activities
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs, families, educators and other professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing clinical development
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Areas of Practice:

Services may include:

      • Speech sound disorders
      • Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
      • Language delays and disorders
      • Early language intervention
      • Literacy and phonological-awareness delays
      • Social communication difficulties
      • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
      • Fluency
      • Voice
      • Hearing-related communication needs

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized CDA program
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Eligible for professional liability insurance
  • Eligible for SAC membership

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Structured mentorship and ongoing collaboration with experienced SLPs will be provided.

Compensation:

**$32-$38 per hour**

  • Compensation is based on education, clinical experience, specialized skills, availability and service requirements.
