Daytime Lifeguard - BGC South East

BGC is seeking part-time lifeguards to work daytime shifts. Hours will vary based on the needs of the facility, with a guarantee of 15 hours per week. Lifeguarding staff is responsible and accountable for the delivery of aquatic programs and services, ensuring the delivery of customer service excellence. Aquatic team members are to handle the day-to-day operations of the aquatic facility, liaising with facility partners, and supervising both members and patrons in and around the pool facility.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of club members and participants during programming
• Ensure that supplies, equipment, and facility are available and are in a safe working condition (may include maintenance and cleaning)
• Actively enforce all pool rules and have a sound knowledge of operating policies, regulations, and procedures for the facility
• Client-focused with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Attend all mandatory in-services and meetings

Qualifications:

• Current Standard First Aid & CPR C & AED (Required)
• Current National Lifeguard Certification (NL) (Required)
• Current Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor (Asset)
• Up to date CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Check (Required)
• Up to date record of immunization (including TB, TD, MMR) (Required)
• Reliable transportation
