The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) is the elected community government of the Mohawk Territory of Akwesasne. Representing the interests of Akwesasró:non (the people of Akwesasne), MCA is responsible for overseeing a wide range of programs, services, and initiatives across the community.

We are currently hiring for the role of Meals on Wheels Driver.

Akwesasne Meals on Wheels Program provides nutritious meal delivery to client’s home together with reassurance security check and social integration. This service is provided in all three districts: Kawehnoke, Kanatakon and Snye. Clients receive one meal per day. 

Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision of the Elder Services Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible to deliver client's meals in a timely, friendly and courteous manner. 
  • The Delivery Driver is a team player and promotes the MOW program and services as an employee of Elder Services.
  • One year relevant work experience preferably in the hospitality industry; and a clear criminal reference check is mandatory.
